Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: March 2026

ContractExtract is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Compliance Target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

We also recognize the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which took effect in June 2025, and strive to meet its standards for users in the European Union.

Measures We Take

  • All images include descriptive alternative text or are marked as decorative
  • Color contrast ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text
  • All interactive elements are fully operable via keyboard navigation
  • Skip navigation links are provided on every page
  • Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements
  • Form fields include visible labels and descriptive error messages
  • Semantic HTML and ARIA attributes are used throughout the site
  • Content reflows properly at 320px width without horizontal scrolling
  • The lang attribute is set on the HTML element for screen reader language detection

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Uploaded document previews: Contract files uploaded by users (PDFs, images) may not be fully accessible. The AI-generated analysis results are provided in accessible HTML format.
  • Third-party content: Advertisements served by Google AdSense and the Cookiebot consent banner are controlled by third parties and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA.
